In 1961, in Eminabad, Gujranwala, motor cars were replacing traditional modes of transport in Pakistan. The country was buzzing with anticipation for the upcoming industrial revolution, and trade was thriving. Inspired by these exciting technological and cultural times, the entrepreneur (Late) Sheikh Muhammad Aslam decided the time was ripe to launch an Auto Parts and Accessories trading company in Karachi in 1962. And so began the Tokyo Automobiles story
(Late) Sheikh Muhammad Aslam was not only a visionary leader, but he was also reserved, loyal, generous, and considerate. He was an exceptional man, those fortunate enough to have known him, his family, friends, and also, to a certain degree, the employees can testify to this. A leader who understood the evolution of our business from quite early on, his life was an extraordinary journey. Over nearly fifty years, he built the company from a two-room store in Plaza, Karachi, to being one of the national leaders in the ultra-competitive world of Auto Parts and Accessories. Today (Late) Sheikh Muhammad Aslam's sons carry the torch and run the company. Carrying forward his legacy of excellence and quality.
